Prototypes material introduction

Prototypes is relying on CAD and CAM technology, according to the product design drawings for trial production, checking the product appearance, structure and feasibility to avoid the risk of direct molding.

Prototypes materials:

1. ABS plate (acrylonitrile-styrene-butadiene copolymer)

ABS is a thermoplastic with high strength, toughness, easy to process. Because of the high strength, corrosion resistance, high temperature characteristics, ABS commonly used as instrument shell.

2. Acrylic plate (PMMA, polymethyl methacrylate)

PMMA commonly known as plexiglass with weather resistance, acid and alkali resistance, good light transmission, anti-strike strong, excellent insulation, light weight, easy maintenance and easy to clean.

3.POM plate (Polyoxymethylene)

POM has high mechanical strength, high rigidity, high hardness, excellent flexibility, abrasion resistance and good creep resistance. Even at low temperatures, there are still good strength resistance and dimensional stability. Because of excellent mechanical, POM is widely used in various types of sliding rotary machinery, compact parts, gears, bearings, etc.. POM is applied in automotive, electronics, medical, machinery, sports equipment and other fields.

4. Nylon plate (PA, polyamide)

 Mechanical strength, stiffness, hardness, high toughness, good aging resistance, good mechanical damping ability, good sliding, abrasion resistance and machinability. PA is widely used in wear parts, transmission parts, home appliances parts, automobile manufacturing parts, screw mechanical parts, chemical machinery parts, chemical equipment, etc..

5.PC plate (polycarbonate)

PC is an engineering plastic, with excellent electrical insulation, extensibility, dimensional stability, chemical resistance, high strength, heat resistance, cold resistance, intolerant alkali and ultraviolet, resistant to weak acid and neutral Oil, self-extinguishing, flame retardant, non-toxic, coloring and other characteristics. PC often used for wide-wave light-transmitting optical devices, environmentally friendly communication appliances, surface metal effect of automotive devices, low-left harmful food utensils, anti-cracking and brittle medical devices, control panels, remote sensing panels, liquid crystal display Window, label nameplate, membrane switch and electric container capacitive media.

6. PP plate (polypropylene)

PP with light weight, symmetrical thickness, smooth surface, good heat resistance, high mechanical strength, excellent chemical stability and electrical insulation, non-toxic and other characteristics. PP widely used in chemical containers, machinery, electronics, electrical appliances, food packaging, medical and other fields. Thick PP board can be used for stamping plate and stamping pad, even the temperature up to 100 degrees.

7.PU (thermosetting polyurethane elastomer)

PU with chemical resistance, tensile strength, high elasticity, high pressure load, high wear resistance, radiation resistance, high strength, high load and shock absorption buffer and other good performance, in a wide Hardness range (Shore A10 to D75) has a high elasticity. 8. Aluminum plate

Aluminum plate can be used for surface oxidation, drawing, etc., used as prototypes shell and internal functional parts, such as signs, home appliances appearance model, medical products  structural parts.

9. Substitute wood

Substitute wood is a processing resin material, but also a common use of materials, not only can be used CNC machining, can also be hand-engraved and modified. Substitute wood will not be the same as the wood grain, can be engraved very fine markings. Toughness, strength, dimensional stability, temperature resistance, compressive strength, bending strength and other physical characteristics of good, commonly used in the main model construction.

10. Bakelite (phenolic resin)

With insulation, non-static, non-absorbent, non-conductive, wear-resistant, high temperature, high strength characteristics, Bakelite commonly used in mechanical properties of high mechanical and electrical, electrical equipment parts.
